- Domestic Abuse Definitions, Statistics, Awareness, Law & Advocacy • This guide provides essential information regarding domestic violence, including resources to help people recognize and potentially prevent cases of domestic violence and to assist those experiencing or witnessing domestic violence take effective action when it is occurring . It discusses domestic abuse definitions and statistics, it can increase awareness of domestic violence issues, it can show you how a victim can work to escape the violence and abuse and become a survivor, and it discusses the serious consequences to a man who is controlling and abusive with his partner.
